Launched this summer, the pilot program assigns a dedicated liaison to work closely with school counselors, teachers, and administrators from public schools in Virginia¡¯s Tidewater Region.¸Û°Äͼ¿â Obici Hospital hosts Franklin City Public School students
Students spent the day touring the hospital, shadowing nurses and technicians, and learning about career opportunities in healthcare.¸Û°Äͼ¿â apprenticeship program addresses nationwide respiratory therapy shortage
The apprenticeship allows students enrolled in the two-year respiratory therapy program at Tidewater Community College to become full-time employees while ¸Û°Äͼ¿â covers $18,000 worth of tuition, books, scrubs, and certification.¸Û°Äͼ¿â partners with Hampton and Harrisonburg school systems to launch school-based telehealth clinics
