Preparing for surgery
The patient navigator is available to answer your questions. To prepare for your upcoming surgery, please read your Patient and Family Guidebook. You should also watch the preoperative (pre-op) education video or find a class to attend.
Our pre-op education will set you up for success before and after surgery. You will learn the following and more:

Arriving for surgery
When you arrive at ¸Û°Äͼ¿â Northern Virginia Medical Center, you can park outside of the Surgical Services entrance. You may also drive up to the main entrance where our valets will be happy to park your car for your convenience. From there, you’ll proceed to Surgical Services and check in at the registration area.

The ¸Û°Äͼ¿â sports medicine team consists of physical therapists, exercise physiologists and certified athletic trainers in the community who work with primary care physicians and orthopedic surgeons treating athletes of all ages. ¸Û°Äͼ¿â also offers state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging services, including our Advanced Imaging Centers. With specialty-trained musculoskeletal radiologists on-site, along with the latest CT, MRI and other technology, we can diagnose and treat your injury with record speed and effectiveness.
