Dr. Quaranta earned his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in St. George's, Grenada, West Indies, in 1989 after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA, in 1983. He completed his internshipand residency at the Presbyterian Medical Center of Philadelphia in Philadelphia, PA, in 1990 and 1992, respectively. To further his medical training, Dr. Quaranta completed a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia in 1996. Dr. Quaranta is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine and sleep medicine.
As a highly trained physician, Dr. Quaranta provides his patients with the latest advances in lung transplants and pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine by using state-of-the-art technology to diagnose and treat a broad range of breathing and lung disorders. He believes in taking a collaborative team approach in providing patients with quality care fordisorders such as COPD, asthma, tuberculosis, bronchitis, pleurisy, apnea, parasomnias, & restless leg syndrome. Dr. Quaranta is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society. He is married with two children, and in his spare time, enjoys sports and traveling.
